About After its first successful launch of Karachi Inter University Film Festival 2008, SZABIST is proud to present First All Pakistan Inter-University Student Film Festival 2009 to be held in April. SZABIST will be welcoming institutions in Pakistan and its students to Student Film Festival 2009. Invites and participating letters have been sent out to schools/universities in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. This would be an all Pakistan Inter-University Student Film Festival. Its vision is to provide a platform to young aspiring individuals from different institutions offering Media Studies as part of their curriculum. Students will exhibit their work to a diverse audience and panel of industry professionals. The aim is to effectively utilize Film and Video as part of Media Studies to serve its purpose and create appreciation for films coming out of the media related school in Pakistan. Having established the need for a platform and following a policy of promoting Film and Video SZABIST is extending academic opportunities in the discipline of Film and Video to all interested students. The Film Festival 09 aims to highlight the craft and technical know how acquired in the media as part of the academics. All participants are invited to showcase their genre of films; silent, narrative, documentaries and animation.
